European Digital Innovation Hub of Moldova is a national project that supports the digital transformation of small and medium-sized enterprises, mid-cap companies and public sector entities in the Republic of Moldova by providing integrated services for innovation, capacity building and the adoption of advanced digital technologies.

Project Description

European Digital Innovation Hub of Moldova is a national project that supports the digital transformation of small and medium-sized enterprises, mid-cap companies and public sector entities in the Republic of Moldova, by providing integrated support services for digitalisation, innovation and capacity building. The project contributes to strengthening the national digital innovation ecosystem and connecting it to the European network of digital innovation hubs.

The main activities of the project include:

• Ecosystem development and awareness activities – strengthening collaboration between relevant actors in the digital innovation ecosystem and increasing awareness of digital transformation opportunities for beneficiaries;
• Testing solutions before investment – supporting beneficiary enterprises and entities in evaluating, testing and validating digital solutions before making investments;
• Digital competence development – organising training, mentoring and capacity-building activities to support the adoption of advanced digital technologies;
• Facilitating access to finance – supporting beneficiaries in identifying financing opportunities and directing them towards relevant instruments for implementing digitalisation and innovation initiatives.

Project Objectives

The general objective of the project is to support the digital transformation of enterprises and public entities in the Republic of Moldova by providing technical assistance, specialised expertise and integrated services for the adoption of advanced digital technologies.

The specific objectives of the project are:

• 1assessing the level of digital maturity and identifying the digital transformation needs of beneficiaries;
• 2providing technical assistance for testing, validating and adopting digital solutions and advanced technologies;
• 3developing digital competences and strengthening the organisational capacities of beneficiaries;
• 4providing advisory support for investment preparation and accessing financing opportunities;
• 5strengthening cooperation and knowledge transfer within the national and European digital innovation ecosystem.
