Chapter 1
Introduction: EDIH of Moldova and the Consortium
1.1. Digital transformation — from intention to reality
Digitalisation is no longer an option for the future, it is a condition of competitiveness today. And the road from intention to real transformation raises natural questions: where do we start? which solutions are worth investing in? who will train our team? with what money?
EDIH of Moldova was created for exactly these questions: a single point of access to the services your organisation needs — from assessing the current situation and testing solutions before investing, to developing skills and preparing for funding. You do not need to be a technology specialist — the role of the hub is to guide you step by step.
1.2. What EDIH of Moldova is
EDIH of Moldova is the national digital innovation hub of the Republic of Moldova and is part of the European network of European Digital Innovation Hubs (EDIH). The project is co-financed by the European Union and the Government of the Republic of Moldova through the Digital Europe Programme, under Grant Agreement no. 101269445.
The purpose of the project is to support the digital transformation of organisations in the Republic of Moldova through integrated innovation services, skills development and the adoption of advanced digital technologies. To achieve this objective, the hub provides support for:
- assessing digital maturity and identifying needs;
- testing and validating digital solutions before making investments;
- developing the digital skills of the team;
- preparing to access funding opportunities.
EDIH of Moldova facilitates beneficiaries' access to the expertise, resources and good practices available within the European network of European Digital Innovation Hubs (EDIH), thereby supporting the digital transformation process and the development of innovation capacity.
1.3. Who implements the project: the EDIH of Moldova Consortium
The project is implemented by the EDIH of Moldova Consortium, made up of organisations from the Republic of Moldova with complementary expertise in digital transformation, innovation, research, skills development and business support.
Services are delivered by the members of the Consortium, each contributing the expertise and competences specific to its field of activity. This model makes it possible to combine the expertise of several organisations in order to meet beneficiaries' needs through integrated and complementary services.
