Participants discussed the services offered by EDIHs, opportunities for cross-border collaboration, and practical examples of support provided to organizations undergoing digital transformation.
Representing EDIH “DIH of Moldova”, Ion Bodrug, President of ACETI and Coordinator of the Hub, participated as a speaker, presenting the opportunities that the Republic of Moldova's first EDIH offers to SMEs and public institutions through access to expertise, advanced technologies, digital skills development, and integration into the European innovation ecosystem.
In addition, Mircea Petic, Executive Director of ACETI, facilitated a practical group exercise together with representatives of other European EDIHs. The activity engaged representatives of SMEs, public institutions, and innovation organizations in discussing real-world challenges and solutions related to the adoption of digital technologies and the development of cooperation within the European innovation ecosystem.
The event brought together experts and representatives from leading organizations in the European innovation and digitalization ecosystem, including Digital Innovation Zone (Romania), EDIH-DO (Germany), Kharkiv IT Cluster, EDIH Kyiv HiTech, and Win-Win EDIH Ukraine (Ukraine), Science Technology Park Belgrade (Serbia), and Business Accelerator UKIM (North Macedonia). Representatives of GIZ Moldova, the Digital Transformation of SMEs in Eastern Partnership Countries project, and Moldovan public authorities responsible for digitalization—including the Ministry of Economic Development and Digitalization and the E-Governance Agency—also participated.
Participation in the workshop provided EDIH “DIH of Moldova” with an opportunity to showcase the Hub's services to an international audience and to SMEs, while strengthening cooperation with other EDIHs and relevant organizations across the region. The event also highlighted the importance of collaboration among European Digital Innovation Hubs in facilitating access for SMEs and public institutions to innovative solutions and the resources needed for successful digital transformation.
The workshop reaffirmed the increasingly important role of the European network of Digital Innovation Hubs in enhancing economic competitiveness and advancing digital integration at both the regional and European levels.
